Children’s shops we love because they do not segregate toys or clothing by sex/gender, instead simply separating everything into neutral categories. For a more detailed explanation of what the Department of WIN and Department of Fail are, please see here.

One Response to “Department of WIN”

  1. Ewan Says:

Boswell’s in Oxford (toy department). Manages to basically arrange by categories (still some boy/girl sections evident because of packagaing-e.g.dolls), but great on the craft and dressing up areas, and most brands (including those which seek to gender their ranges such as Wow and Lego) kept together. Even better, the advertisment for the department has a girl playing with a train set with her Dad. In all other respects a charmingly old-fashioned dpeartment store, makign you wonder when this separation came in.
